Our school will be participating in the next two years in the European Comenius Programme, sponsored by the Socrates National Agency.
So, what is the Comenius Programme?
It's a project that encourages development and understanding between various European cultures through cooperation and exchange between schools in different countries.
We will work together on a common topic with five other European centers.
This will enable us to open our center to Europe, other students, teachers and educational systems.
The entire school will be involved and will participate actively in the upcoming activities during the next two shool years.
Who are our members?
There are a total of five schools. Greece is the the coordinator of the activities that will be realized also participating are Turkey, Slovakia, Italy and the United Kingdom.
To get a first impression and touch base, one of the bilingual teachers and the the bilingual coordinator, will travel in November to Slovakia to get to know their educational system, exchange experiences and decide on the activities that will take place during the first trimester.
Communication is a vital component for a project with these characteristics. Soon our students will contact students from the participating countries through emails and letters, and will be always communicating in English.
We will maintain you informed and up to date on the the activities taking place, and at the same time we ask for your collaboration in this project, considering it will have a positive impact on the eductional community.
